Sept 2013 Presby Assembly - Youth Minister Matt W as minion

Youth Ministry Coordinator Matt Parker Wrzeszcz (“resh”) is looking for more minions to join him.

There were many beginnings and endings at the Presbytery Assembly, hosted by Arlington Heights Southminster Presbyterian Church.

The assembly shared in a litany of thanksgiving for the ministry of the Presbyterian Camps, which is now permanently closed. Two Administrative Commissions were dismissed with gratitude. The final report from the Vision and Praxis Task Force was presented, recommending that the tools of community organizing be used to build a more relational culture.

Among the beginnings were the Future Outdoor Ministry Task Force reporting on findings from their survey. The Youth Ministry Team has a new coordinator in Matt Wrzeszcz. Four inquirers proceeded to candidacy, and the installation of three Teaching Elders was approved, as well as the commissioning of this presbytery’s second Commissioned Local Pastor.
