South Loop Famers Market Opens

For the second year in a row, the South Loop Farmers Market opened Thursday evening to the sound of hula music, laughter and children playing in the parking lot of Second Presbyterian Church, Chicago.

It’s difficult for any market to stand out given that the city is expected to host 67 different farmers markets this summer. But one thing that makes this market is unique is that it runs on Thursdays from 4 to 8 p.m., South Loop market co-founder Tina Feldstein said.
