Addressing Hunger and Homelessness
The Presbytery of Chicago’s End Hunger and Homelessness Mission Team addresses these two issues from many angles:
- EHHMT provides direct supplemental funding to Chicago-area organizations and agencies that seek to relieve or end hunger and homelessness. Organizations and agencies applying for funding must complete the EHHMT application.
- EHHMT partners with RELUFA in Cameroon through Chicago Joining Hands.
- The EHHMT approves and recommends a curriculum addressing all aspects of hunger. It is provided by the Presbyterian Hunger Program in partnership with Church World Service and Advocate Health Care.
- EHHMT works with many Presbyterian Church (USA) groups to end hunger:
- EHHMT works with other local and national organizations. These agencies are available to provide resources, educational events, and ministry opportunities and experiences for congregations:
