The Assembly consists of the clergy members of the Presbytery of Chicago and an approximately equal number of elders who are commissioners and other elder members. The purpose of the presbytery assembly is to oversee the mission and governance of the Presbytery of Chicago. The presbytery assembly gathers in stated meetings at regular intervals and whenever called into special session.

We have four regular Presbytery Assembly meetings each calendar year. Each meetings focuses on one of the Special Offerings of the Presbyterian Church. In order to enhance our understanding of the ministries and missions supported by each special offering, we will offer workshops on the same day as the Presbytery Assembly. When we meet on Tuesdays, the workshops will begin at 1:30 p.m. When we meet on Saturdays, the workshops will begin when the presbytery adjourns and will conclude by 5:30 p.m.
