The successful candidate will be an accomplished musician, strong organizational skills, and possess musical background and performance skills.  Strong vocal ability mixed with guitar and/or keyboard talent is preferred, along with a minimum of 1-2 years experience in worship leadership.  The candidate must be a strong spiritual leader and team builder who also is willing and able to shepherd volunteers.

COTC currently is conducting a search for an individual with the ability to equip lay leaders for their educational ministries by organizing, coordinating and administering the necessary training.   

 This is a part-time salary position and responsibilities include relating to the Pastor as the Head of Staff, to the CE Ministry as a contributing member, to lay members as a trainer and administrator, and to nursery attendants as supervisor.  A full position description follows this letter.

Heritage Presbyterian Church in Carol Stream needs to replace the carpeting in the narthex and would like to know if any other churches may have replaced their old carpeting with tile or other non-carpet flooring recently. Our coffee fellowship hour is held in our narthex, and we are fearing the possibility of increased noise without the carpeting. Musician Available

Musician Needed

Mayfair Presbyterian Church is searching for a Praise Leader for their 11:30 AM Sunday Contemporary Service. They seek a person who ”feels called to contemporary worship music ministry,” who can lead services, including music and prayers, and who can accompany with an instrument.  They say they are a “small congregation in a small church where all are working hard to discern God’s plan for its future in the Mayfair neighborhood of Chicago.” The person they choose will “be comfortable minstering to and with a diverse group of varying ages, diverse backgrounds and gifts, all struggling to help renew our church.” The job will be 5-6 hours per week, not including travel time. Duties will include rehearsing with the praise team, leading Sunday service, selecting music with the praise team, and taking part in preparing PowerPoint Slides, and preparing chord sheets each week.
