TOGETHER IN SERVICE

Together in Service

In July 2006, Presbyterian Women unveiled the new hands-on mission program called Together in Service.  In our PW Purpose statement we commit “to support the mission of the church worldwide”.  Now each PW chooses where they can best serve based on their interests, abilities and resources.  To help us choose mission projects, PW, PCUSA prepared The Together in Service Guide (item PWR-06-433) which is available on-line (store.pcusa.org) or by calling (800) 524-2612.  This Guide is full of ideas for service at home, globally, denominationally, and ecumenically.  Learn more. PW’s exciting new project is Together in Service Eastern Europe.  We can all help generate funds to support the Roma Development project which is working to establish a basket-making microenterprise among groups of Roma women.  Learn more. Our three year project starting in 2007 was the Palm development project for the women of the Congo and an effort to provide funds for mattresses for hospitals and bikes to transport produce to market.  Learn more.  (http://gamc.pcusa.org/ministries/pw/together-service/)
